I received a call from a good friend looking to see if I could shoot some engagement photographs for him and his wife to be. I normally don't have much to do with weddings, but for a good friend, i figured, why not! the future Mr. and Mrs. Blaski...

BROTHAZ BENT ROUND UNO!!!

What's up good people? I just recently was asked by the infamous LA born BROTHAZ BENT  collective to get some portraits of the emcees in the crew. I have here four of the many members in the family. That's kinda how things go here in LA, and in hip-hop, tough to get everyone to turn out. So this is only the first installment of images. As I get more of the crew together in another session, I will be posting those portraits here on my blog. From top to bottom: DON CHALANT, WOOZIE MEDWIX, ANIMOSITY and S.P.! 

ROCK THE BELLS!!!

Last week I was fortunate enough to attend the ROCK THE BELLS media release party. I was the event photographer contracted by Guerilla UNion to cover the event and boy did I!!! This was an epic event because so many names are on the list for this years tour. Not to mention the fact that this year RTB has 8 stops in the US, 4 stops in Europe and 2 stops in Japan, making this a world wide event. Some of the groups that are on the bill for this year include: PHARCYDE, A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, DE LA SOUL, MURS, NAS, RAEKWON, GHOSTFACE AND THE REST OF WU FAMILY, SUPERNATURAL, JAY ELECTRONICA, WALE, BLACKOUT (METHOD MAN AND REDMAN), BLACKSATR (MOS DEF AND TALIB KWELI) and MANY MANY MORE!!!

With a line up of this caliber, this years RTB event is set to go out and show people why most of us fell in love with hip-hop music, and that had nothing to do with being gangster or thug. This year also marks the reunion of DE LA SOUL, TRIBE AND PHARCYDE. That is what hip-hop is about. Amazing musically with stories and lyrics that capture and inspire us, not just tell us how much money they made last year. Peep these pics but more importantly, GO OUT AND GET YOUR ROCK THE BELLS TICKET NOW!!! You DO NOT want to miss this years tour.
